It is a type of food which is being produced in large size for commercial resale and have an excellent speed of service. But it is made up of cheap ingredients i.e high fat meat, refined grains, added sugar and trans fats instead of healthy ingredients like whole grains, lean meat, fresh veges etc. which is good for your health. This is why they are also called junk food.

When fat combines with sugar and sodium (present in salt) it make our food delicious. But when we eat lots of sodium in our diet it cause water retention in our body. causing puffiness, bloated and swollen. Cold drinks also contain lots of sodium.
If you eat high sodium diet. It is dangerous for people who has High Blood pressure problem. Sodium enhance your blood pressure and cause stress on your cardiovascular system.
Daily amount of Sodium allowed by American Heart Association is 2300mg /day. In other words one fast food complete your daily limit.

Foods that make you feel full instantly but actually have excess calories eventually pile up in your body causing you gain lot of weight or obesity. Once you get fat your chances of getting respiratory problems got doubled including shortness of breath and asthma etc. You have noticed difficult breathing when you’re climbing stairs, walking etc. This is how junk food can end obesity.
Children’s have more risks of getting respiratory problems. Studies found that those children who eat more fast food are more likely to become asthmatic.
